Beijing–Tokyo Forum is a yearly people-to-people exchange between China and Japan. It started in 2005, launched by China Daily and Genron NPO, with support from China’s State Council Information Office and Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The forum is held annually, rotating between Beijing and Tokyo. Since 2015 it has been run by the China International Communication Group and Genron NPO. It covers politics, economics, science and technology, and humanities. Attendees include experts, scholars, entrepreneurs, and media from both countries, including former high‑level Chinese officials. The forum also publishes an annual public opinion survey on China and Japan, known as “almost the only Chinese public opinion survey.”
