Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels
Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels is the trading name of New Mauritius Hotels Ltd, a Mauritian hospitality company. It owns and runs eight hotels in Mauritius, plus one in the Seychelles and one in Morocco. The group also operates Plaisance Catering (in-flight catering) and five tour operators worldwide. Founded in 1952 and headquartered in Curepipe, Mauritius, it is the largest and oldest hotel group on the island, with about 2,077 rooms (roughly 25% of Mauritius’ hotel rooms). It is one of the Mauritian stock exchange’s biggest companies by market value. Key people are Chairman Hector Espitalier-Noël and CEO Gilbert Espitalier-Noël. The group has around 5,000 employees.
