Bankstown Oval, also known as Bankstown Memorial Oval, is a multi‑purpose stadium in Bankstown, a south‑west suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It mainly hosts cricket and is used by New South Wales for one‑day matches, and has hosted four Sheffield Shield first‑class games. The pavilion is named after Steve Waugh and Mark Waugh, both former Australian Test batsmen who played for the Bankstown District Cricket Club. The ground hosted Women’s Ashes Tests during England’s tours in 2002/03 and again in January 2010. It has also hosted local Australian Rules Football matches. The stadium seats about 8,000 people. Since 1951, the Bankstown District Cricket Club has used the ground as its home venue. In the 1940s and 1950s it was the home ground of Bankstown Soccer Club, the predecessor to Bankstown City FC.
