Bakeapple Barren Northeast
Bakeapple Barren Northeast is a peak in the Cape Breton Highlands on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada. It is the third highest point in Nova Scotia and the second highest in Inverness County after The Pinnacle. The peak sits on the Cape Breton Highlands plateau within Cape Breton Highlands National Park and can only be reached by hiking. It is a remote, flat hill rising from a marshy, windswept upland about 11 kilometres from the nearest road and roughly 10 kilometres from any maintained hiking trail. Elevation is 526 metres (1,726 feet). Bakeapple Barren Northeast rises to the north of Bakeapple Barren proper, with The Pinnacle about 5 kilometres to the west as its nearest higher neighbor. The peak lies about 25 kilometres northeast of Chéticamp and 24 kilometres northwest of Ingonish.
