Western Leone
Western Leone is a Western-style theme park in the Tabernas Desert, Almería, Andalusia, Spain, located along the A-92 near the 378.9 km marker. It is the smallest of three Western-themed parks in the area, with Mini Hollywood and Texas Hollywood nearby. The park was built to film Sergio Leone's 1968 movie Once Upon a Time in the West, and the large red house at the center of the film is kept as an attraction, along with other buildings that evoke a Western town. It has also hosted scenes for other Spaghetti Westerns. In 1970 a fortress was built nearby and used as a film set for El Condor and later movies, but it fell into disrepair by 1986. As of March 2022, the fortress and surrounding land were for sale for 2.5 million euros, covering about 86,000 square meters.
