Back at the Front is a 1952 American comedy film directed by George Sherman. It stars Tom Ewell, Harvey Lembeck, and Mari Blanchard, and is loosely based on the Willie and Joe cartoons by Bill Mauldin. The movie is a sequel to Up Front (1951). Mauldin did not approve of the films and did not take his advising fee.

Plot
Willie and Joe are two World War II U.S. Army veterans who got through the war by avoiding hard work. After returning to civilian life, they are recalled to active duty with the postwar occupation forces in Japan. They try one get-rich-quick scheme after another to dodge chores and to get leave to spend time in Tokyo.
