Arrondissement of Saint-Malo
The arrondissement of Saint-Malo is an administrative area in the Ille-et-Vilaine department in Brittany, France. Its capital (subprefecture) is the city of Saint-Malo. It covers 1,070.6 square kilometers and contains 68 communes. The population was 175,063 in 2023, giving a density of about 164 people per square kilometer. The INSEE code for the arrondissement is 354. It was created in 1800, and in 2017 it gained seven communes from Rennes. Since the 2015 reform, the borders of cantons no longer match the borders of arrondissements.
