Arturo Cancela (1882–1957) was an Argentine novelist and critic known for humorous and satirical writing. He often collaborated with his wife, Pilar de Lusarreta. His best-known work is the short-story collection Tres relatos porteños, which depicts life in Buenos Aires. The stories include "El cocobacilo de Herrlin," "Una semana de holgorio" (based on the Tragic Week), and "El culto de los héroes." Cancela also wrote plays and coauthored several works with Lusarreta.
