Aviation Vacation is a 1941 Warner Bros. animated short from the Merrie Melodies series. Directed by Tex Avery, with a story by Dave Monahan and music by Carl Stalling. Produced by Leon Schlesinger. The seven-minute Technicolor cartoon has no regular Warner characters and uses a narrator to guide a series of gags. Robert C. Bruce provides the (uncredited) narration, and Mel Blanc also lends voices (uncredited). A small airplane takes passengers on a quick world tour, delivering playful jokes and wordplay. It was released on August 2, 1941, and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. In a 2022 MeTV airing, some scenes with African natives were omitted. A watermark-free version of "When Irish Eyes Are Smiling" appeared on YouTube on March 17, 2022.
