Glenn Moore (softball)
Glenn Moore is the head coach of Baylor’s Lady Bears softball team in the Big 12 Conference. He has a long, successful coaching career, with an overall head coach record that sits over 1,000 wins.
Before joining Baylor in 2001, Moore coached at LSU from 1999 to 2000 (after serving as an LSU assistant and interim coach in 1998). He led LSU to SEC regular-season and tournament titles in 1999 and 2000. He also started the softball program at William Carey College for one season in 1997.
Moore began his coaching career at Northwestern State, first as a volunteer assistant and then as a full-time assistant. He also coached football, baseball, and basketball at Amite School Center in Liberty, Mississippi. As a player, he participated in football and baseball at Southwest Mississippi Community College and played tight end at Northwestern State, graduating in 1993. He was inducted into Southwest Mississippi Community College’s Hall of Fame in 2000.
