Averil Leimon is a Scottish psychologist, author, and executive coach who focuses on leadership psychology. She was one of the first UK-based psychologists to qualify in positive psychology. She co-edits The Essential Coaching Series for Routledge and has written and co-authored several books, including Essential Business Coaching, Coaching Women to Lead, Positive Psychology for Dummies, and Performance Coaching for Dummies. She also wrote 100 lessons on happiness in 100 words or less, and she co-founded White Water Group, a business consultancy.

She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Glasgow and a BA (Hons) in Psychology from Strathclyde University. Leimon frequently shares her expertise via TV (BBC, CNN), radio (BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour), and print media (FT, City A.M., Women in Business, Cosmopolitan). She is a member and speaker of the British Psychological Society.
