Autódromo Velo Città
Autódromo Velo Città is a private motor racing circuit in Mogi Guaçu, São Paulo, Brazil, about 180 km north of the city of São Paulo. It opened on 16 June 2012 and holds FIA Grade 3 certification.
The main layout, called the Complete External Circuit, is about 3.44 km long with 13 turns. There are several additional configurations: the West Circuit (1.42 km), the East Circuit (1.83 km), and the East Circuit with the “H” Loop (2.09 km). Some references also list a Full Circuit around 3.49 km. The venue sits on private property and features a paddock, pits and a race tower.
Key facilities were expanded in 2014 to include a paddock with capacity for around 500 VIP guests. In 2015, two new curves, Capirinha and Ferradura, were added to make the course faster and more challenging. An off-road track of about 2.5 km with 18 obstacles was built for 4x4 vehicles and adventure riding.
Autódromo Velo Città hosts a variety of events beyond professional racing, including track days, test drives, press conferences and driving courses. It has hosted many brands and events, such as the 1000 Brazilian Historic Miles, 500Km de São Paulo and a number of promotions by car manufacturers.
Current major racing series at Velo Città include TCR South America (since 2022), Stock Car Pro Series (since 2017), NASCAR Brasil Series (2017–2023 and returning in 2025), and Porsche Cup Brasil (2015–2019, 2021–present). Formerly, Fórmula Academy Sudamericana raced there in 2018 and F3 Brasil in 2017. The track has also hosted events that bring fans close to the action with dedicated grandstands and viewing areas.
The fastest official lap on the main circuit is 1:20.142, set by Guilherme Samaia in a Dallara F309 during a 2017 F3 Brasil event. The circuit is designed for a mix of medium- and low-speed turns, offering a versatile venue for touring and GT racing, track days and automotive events.
