County of Churchill, Queensland
County of Churchill is a cadastral division in Queensland, Australia. It is a non-functional administrative unit used mainly for land title registration. The county lies roughly between 152°E and 153°E, centered in the West Moreton region and extending east to the Ipswich suburbs. It was named after Lord Randolph Churchill (born 1849) by the Surveyor-General of New South Wales, and was officially named and bounded on 7 March 1901 under the Land Act 1897. Churchill is divided into parishes. The approximate center is around 27°50′S, 152°20′E (27.833°S, 152.333°E).
