Mohammed Muntari
Mohammed Muntari is a Ghana-born footballer who represents Qatar internationally and plays as a striker for Al-Gharafa. He was born on December 20, 1993, in Kumasi, Ghana, and is 1.94 meters tall.
He started his career at Golden Lions Soccer Academy in Ghana before moving to Qatar. He joined El Jaish in 2013 and later signed with Lekhwiya (now Al-Duhail) in 2015. He had loan spells at Al Ahli in 2017–18, and again in 2018. In 2024, he moved to Al-Gharafa.
Internationally, Muntari became part of the Qatar national team in 2014. He made his debut on December 27, 2014, against Estonia and scored in that match. He has earned 65 caps and scored 16 goals for Qatar. He scored Qatar’s first and only World Cup goal at the 2022 FIFA World Cup against Senegal on November 25, 2022.
