Atlas Shrugged is a trilogy of American science fiction drama films based on Ayn Rand's novel. The three parts are Part I (2011), Part II (2012), and Part III (2014). Part III is sometimes titled Who Is John Galt? The films do not reuse the same actors in different installments; each part has a different cast.

Plot wise, the films are set in a dystopian United States where the government moves toward socialism, imposes strict rules, and controls many industries. In response, many of the era’s top industrialists withdraw their talents from society.

Reception and box office: The trilogy received mostly negative reviews and was a box-office disappointment, earning about $9 million in the U.S. combined, with each film earning less than the previous one. The parts were directed by different filmmakers and had separate production teams, with a total budget around $35 million. Release dates were April 15, 2011 (Part I); October 12, 2012 (Part II); and September 12, 2014 (Part III). Home-release editions followed in 2011–2015.
