Ürün
Ürün was a Turkish socialist political magazine published in Istanbul from July 1974 to 2012, though it had several interruptions. It was issued by De-Da Publishing and became the voice of the Atılım period of the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP).
The founder and owner was Ural Ateşer, and the first editor was Nuri Samyeli. Selçuk Uzun took over as editor from the sixth issue, and Ahmet Taştan edited from the fortieth issue (October 1977) to the fifty-fifth issue (January 1979). Taştan faced legal action for publishing the TKP program, and the magazine was temporarily shut down. Ateşer was a journalist in Germany, and Taştan was a political émigré in Sweden.
In June 1996, activists from various cities met in İzmir and decided to revive Ürün, aiming to publish by late January 1997. The revived magazine’s first issue appeared in January 1997. In the fifth issue, Beyoğlu 2nd Criminal Court of First Instance ordered the Book Series stopped, ruling it a periodical; six issues of the Ürün Book Series were published.
Publication of the Ürün Socialist Magazine restarted in April 1999. Ürün continued to follow the line of the Communist Party of Turkey and ultimately folded in 2012.
