Art Stoefen (August 29, 1914 – January 7, 1995) was an American basketball player. A 6'5" center/power forward, he starred at Stanford University from 1935 to 1938, playing alongside Hank Luisetti. The Cardinal went 68–11 in his three varsity seasons. As a senior in 1937–38, Stoefen earned first-team All-Pacific Coast Conference honors and was named a second‑team All-American by Madison Square Garden. He is in Stanford’s Athletics Hall of Fame.

After college, he played for the integrated Los Angeles Red Devils with Jackie Robinson in 1946–47, then joined the Chicago American Gears of the National Basketball League (NBL). He helped the Gears win the league championship in 1947 and was also recognized as an All-American during his college years.

Stoefen was born in Davenport, Iowa, moved to California as a youth, and attended Los Angeles High School. He died in Bend, Oregon, in 1995, at the age of 80. He was the cousin of tennis star Lester Stoefen, a relation newspapers sometimes called brothers.
