Still Cyco Punk After All These Years
Still Cyco Punk After All These Years is the fourteenth studio album by the American crossover thrash band Suicidal Tendencies. It was released on September 7, 2018, and features re-recorded versions of most songs from Cyco Miko’s 1996 debut Lost My Brain! (Once Again). It’s nearly a full re-recording; the last two tracks from the original album, "Cyco Miko Wants You" and "Ain't Mess'n Around," aren’t included (the latter appears on the Get Your Fight On! EP with "Nothin' to Lose"). The previously unreleased "Sippin' from the Insanitea" is also included. The new versions keep the same basic music but add fresh lyrics and melodies on some songs; the track "Sippin' from the Insanitea" uses the same structure as "Cyco Miko Wants You" with new words.
The album’s title riffs on Suicidal Tendencies’ 1993 release Still Cyco After All These Years, which also collected re-recorded and unreleased material. This is the last Suicidal Tendencies album with rhythm guitarist Jeff Pogan, who left the band two months before the release, and the final one to feature drummer Dave Lombardo and bassist Ra Díaz.
First pressings included CD, black vinyl, and limited colored vinyl in blue, lime green, purple, and gold. All tracks were written by Mike Muir and the album was produced by Paul Northfield and Mike Muir. Recorded during 2017–2018, Still Cyco Punk After All These Years runs 41 minutes and 22 seconds. The single "F.U.B.A.R." was released on August 3, 2018.
