Antonio Suárez
Antonio Suárez Vázquez (20 May 1932 – 6 January 1981) was a Spanish professional road cyclist. Born in Madrid, he raced professionally from 1956 to 1965 and rode for teams including Guardia de Franco, Lube–NSU, Faema, Ghigi, Flandria–Faema, IBAC, and Tedi Montjuich.
His biggest achievement was winning the Vuelta a España in 1959, where he also took the mountains classification. He won the points classification at the 1961 Vuelta and earned five individual stages in the Vuelta during his career. In the 1961 Giro d'Italia, he won one stage and finished third overall behind Arnaldo Pambianco and Jacques Anquetil. He was the Spanish national road race champion in 1959, 1960, and 1961.
Suárez died in Madrid on 6 January 1981, at the age of 48.
