The fourth season of Undercover aired on BNT 1 from January 19 to April 6, 2014, with 12 episodes. Martin becomes a regular inspector in the GDBOP and starts a relationship with Popov’s daughter Zornica. Dzharo flees to Turkey, and Ivo begins a relationship with Dzharo’s daughter Niya. The Hook goes on a killing spree against Turkish mobsters to avenge his wife’s and son’s murder. Popov faces personal tragedy, and the pressure on everyone grows.
Jaro teams up with Farouk, a powerful Turkish mobster who wants to build an empire, while The Hook returns to Bulgaria for revenge. Niya appears suddenly. After a string of operations against the Turkish mafia, Farouk orders an assassination of Popov and assigns the task to Jaro. Zornitza dies in the failed hit.
At her funeral, Jaro asks Popov for forgiveness and offers to surrender to help capture Farouk, but Popov shoots and kills Jaro. Farouk plans to kill Ivo Andonov, but The Hook arrives to take revenge on his family. He later learns Farouk’s son Bardem was responsible for their deaths and kills Bardem, after which The Hook is arrested.
Farouk escapes and still plans to do business with Ivo. Popov is convicted of Jaro’s murder. He confesses to Martin that he introduced a man named Erol Metin to Farouk’s organization and entrusts Metin with the ongoing fight against organized crime.
