Public Libraries of New Zealand is the network for the Association of Public Library Managers (APLM). It was set up in 2007 to support and represent New Zealand’s public libraries. Its goal is to speak up for the information and library needs of the public, raise the profile of public libraries and librarians, show their value, and build good relationships with funders, users, and library staff.

APLM members are Public Library Managers, organized into six regions with an elected regional representative in each region. It is led by an executive director and governed by an executive committee made up of the Chair, Chair-Elect, Treasurer, and the six Regional Reps.
