Anil Dattatray Tatkare (born 31 August 1953) is an Indian politician from Maharashtra. He was born in Mumbai and raised in Kolad in Raigad district. His father, Dattatray Tatkare, served as the Chairperson of the Panchayat Samiti in the district for 17 years, and his elder brother Sunil Tatkare is the Member of Parliament for Raigad. He is married to Shubhada Tatkare since 1977 and has two sons, Avadhut and Sandeep. He lives in Roha, Raigad.
Tatkare began his political career as a member of the Raigad District Council (1997–2002). When that seat was reserved for a woman in 2002, his wife Shubhada won it and served from 2002 to 2017. He was with the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) from its inception in 1999 until 2019. In 2009 he contested the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election from Pen as an Independent but narrowly lost to Dhairyashil Patil of the PWP.
In 2010 a by-election for the Raigad–Ratnagiri–Sindhudurg Local Authorities seat was held after Bhaskar Jadhav became an MLA. Tatkare won and served his first term from 2010 to 2012. He was re-elected in 2012 and completed a full six-year term until 2018. He did not contest elections after 2018. He joined Shiv Sena in 2019 along with his son Avadhut. In February 2024, after a split in the NCP, he joined the Sharad Pawar–led faction and was appointed Vice President of the Maharashtra state unit of the NCP.
His family remains influential in Raigad politics; his son Avadhut is a former MLA for Shrivardhan, and his other son Sandeep is active in district politics.
