The Anglican Province of the Niger is one of the 14 provinces of the Church of Nigeria. It has nine dioceses.

Archbishops of the Province
- Maxwell Anikwenwa (Bishop of Awka) was the first Archbishop from 2002 to 2010. He had previously led Province II from 2000 and was re-elected in 2007.
- Christian Efobi (Bishop of Aguata) was the second Archbishop, serving until 2018. He began a second term on 24 July 2016.
- Godwin Okpala (Bishop of Nnewi) was the third Archbishop from 4 April 2018 to September 2019.
- Alexander Chibuzo Ibezim (Bishop of Awka) has been Archbishop since his election in 2019 and installation on 24 September 2019.

Origins
The oldest diocese in the province, and in Nigeria, is the Diocese of Niger. All the other dioceses in the Province grew from that original diocese.

Dioceses and their key details
- Awka: Created on 9 March 1987 from the Diocese on the Niger. Inaugurated at St Faith’s Pro-Cathedral; cathedral is St Faith’s, Awka. In 2005, Awka was split to form the Aguata diocese.
- Aguata: Erected from Awka in 2005 and inaugurated on 4 September 2005. Mother church is St John’s Cathedral, Ekwulobia.
- Nnewi: Split from the Diocese of the Niger and inaugurated on 14 February 1996. Cathedral is St Mary’s, Uruagu Nnewi; later, Amichi and Ihiala were carved out of Nnewi.

(Note: The province’s nine dioceses all trace their origins to the original Diocese of Niger.)
