Andy Moeller
Andy Moeller is an American football coach and former player. Born in 1964 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, he is the son of Gary Moeller. He played for the Michigan Wolverines and earned All-Big Ten honors (Second-team in 1985 and First-team in 1986).
Moeller’s coaching career has included stops at both the college and NFL levels. He started at Indiana as a graduate assistant in 1987, then worked at Army (1988–1993) coaching the offensive line, linebackers, and special teams; Missouri (1994–1996) coaching tight ends, offensive tackles, and special teams; Missouri (1997–1999) as offensive line coach; Michigan (2000–2001) coaching tight ends and offensive tackles; Michigan (2002–2007) as offensive line coach; Baltimore Ravens (2008–2010) as assistant offensive line coach; and Ravens (2011–2013) as offensive line coach. He won Super Bowl XLVII with the Ravens.
In spring 2011 Moeller was arrested for DUI and sentenced to jail time, though most of the sentence was suspended and he was placed on probation. The NFL suspended him for the first two games of the 2011 season. After the Ravens’ Super Bowl run, Juan Castillo was promoted to run game coordinator and offensive line coach, with Moeller shifting to assistant offensive line coach.
Moeller later joined the Cleveland Browns as their offensive line coach. In September 2015 he was suspended indefinitely after allegations of assault at his home, and he and the Browns parted ways before the team’s 2015 home opener.
