Andrei Macovei (born 5 January 2000) is a Moldovan chess player who holds the International Master (IM) title, earned in 2019. He won the Moldovan Chess Championship in 2019 and silver in 2022. He has been one of Moldova's best young players, competing in European Youth Chess Championships, World Youth Chess Championships, and, in 2017, he won the World School Chess Championship in Open U17. He has represented Moldova in the Chess Olympiad and in the European Team Chess Championships. His peak rating was 2491 in September 2022, and his rating was 2484 in February 2026.
