Amasonia hirta
Amasonia hirta is a flowering plant in the mint family (Lamiaceae). It is native to Brazil and Paraguay. In Portuguese, it is known as mendoca or sangue de Cristo. The species has a few scientific synonyms, including Amasonia hirta var. paraensis and Taligalea hirta.
