Barnett is a small city in Morgan County, Missouri. It covers about 0.27 square miles, all land, and sits on a ridge near Missouri Route 52, roughly 11 miles southeast of Versailles and 6 miles northwest of Eldon. The population was 158 in 2020, down from 203 in 2010.

The town has had several names in its history: Stone House, Barnetsville, and briefly Marysville. A post office first opened as Stone House in 1858. After a tornado in 1880, the town rebuilt and was renamed Barnett, after an early settler named Mr. Barnet. The Jesse Ratcliff House in Barnett is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Geographically, Barnett sits on a ridge that drains to Wilkes Creek to the north and Indian Creek to the south, with connections to the Moreau and Osage rivers that feed the Missouri River.

In 2010, Barnett had 203 residents, 81 households, and 56 families, with a predominantly White population and a small mix of other races; about 3% were Hispanic or Latino.
