Almites is an extinct genus of ammonoids, shelled cephalopods related to squids and octopuses. It belongs to the order Goniatitida, the subclass Ammonoidea, and the class Cephalopoda. Almites is placed in the family Marathonitidae and the subfamily Marathonitinae. The genus was named by Toumansky in 1941.
