Algerian rugby union Championship
Algeria’s National Rugby Union Championship is the country’s top club rugby competition. It was created in 2017 and first played in November 2018. The original plan was to have 20 teams split into two regional groups (Center-West and Center-East), but that format didn’t happen. The first season ran from November 2018 to May 2019, with five regional events (Algiers, Oran, Msila, Sidi Bel Abbès and Arzew) and a final in Blida. Stade Oranais won the inaugural title. In the 2021–22 season, 13 teams compete. Stade Oranais is the most recent champion with their first title. Teams can be relegated to the Algerian rugby union Championship D2.
