Alan Black (broadcaster)
Alan Black (15 January 1943 – 5 March 2007) was a British radio presenter best known for BBC Radio 1's Sounds of the Seventies. After working as a disc jockey at several commercial stations in the mid-1960s, he joined the BBC in July 1968 with the Midday Spin show on Radio 1. He also presented In Concert on Radio 1, as well as the What's New programme and Sounds of the Seventies (with Anne Nightingale).
