Alberto Colombo (23 February 1946 – 7 January 2024) was an Italian racing driver. He entered three Formula One Grands Prix in 1978 but did not start a race (two attempts with ATS failed to qualify, and one with Merzario failed to pre-qualify). He won the 1974 Italian Formula Three Championship and had some success in Formula Two. In 1980, Colombo was involved in the Team Riviera Formula 1 project as both driver and team manager. The plan included Le Coq Sportif sponsorship and a new chassis, but the car was never built and the team folded. After retiring from driving, he ran the Sanremo Racing team in the 1980s, promoting young Italian drivers in European Formula Two and FIA International F3000. He helped talents such as Gabriele Tarquini, Carlo Rossi, Guido Daccò and Ivan Capelli. Colombo died on 7 January 2024 at age 77 after a long illness.
