Aayi Mandapam
Aayi Mandapam, also known as the Park Monument, is a white monument in the center of Bharati Park in Pondicherry, India. Built during the time of Napoleon III when Pondicherry was under French rule, it commemorates the city’s water supply. It is named after Aayi, a courtesan who sacrificed her own house to build a water reservoir for the city.
