Melanoides victoriae
Melanoides victoriae (Dohrn, 1865) is a species of freshwater snail in the Thiaridae family. It is endemic to Southern Africa. The type locality is the rapids above the Victoria Falls on the Zambezi River, near Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. The snail has a shell about 29 mm tall and 10 mm wide. Synonyms include Melania victoriae Dohrn, 1865.
