Bad Day is a rock song by American band Fuel from their second album, Something Like Human (2000). It was released as the album’s third single on May 29, 2001, and reached number 64 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in August 2001. After the September 11 attacks, Clear Channel deemed the song inappropriate for radio airplay due to its subject matter.

Background and composition
Written by Fuel guitarist Carl Bell before the band signed with a major label, Bad Day is in A major with a mid-tempo rock feel. The track existed before Fuel signed with Sony/Epic, and the band had tried recording it for their Sunburn era but didn’t feel they got it right.

An Australian maxi-CD single followed on September 10, 2001, featuring additional tracks: "Down" (rehearsal demo), "Hemorrhage (In My Hands)" (rehearsal demo), and an acoustic version of "Bad Day."
