A Place Called Love Land
A Place Called Love Land is the fourth studio album by American R&B singer Raheem DeVaughn. It was released on September 3, 2013, by Mass Appeal Entertainment, INgrooves, and Fontana Distribution. The album runs about 53 minutes.
The lead single, "Love Connection," came out on February 14, 2013, and its music video followed on April 16, 2013.
Critics generally gave the album positive reviews. AllMusic’s Andy Kellman gave it 4 out of 5 stars, praising DeVaughn’s direct, personal approach and calling the title track a standout, though noting it didn’t become a radio hit. Washington City Paper’s Joe Warminsky also spoke positively, saying the project marks a solid move back to basics while fitting DeVaughn’s new deal.
A Place Called Love Land debuted and peaked at number 22 on the US Billboard 200.
