Eleventh Mom (Korean: 열한번째 엄마; Yeolhanbeonjjae eomma), also known as My 11th Mother, is a 2007 South Korean drama film directed by Kim Jin-sung. It stars Kim Hye-soo, Kim Young-chan, and Ryu Seung-ryong. The story follows 11-year-old Jae-soo, who has grown up with an abusive, unemployed gambler father who has had many girlfriends. When his father brings home a new woman as his eleventh partner, the boy and the woman are wary of each other. The woman, a cynical bar worker with little nurturing instinct, seems unlikely to be a mother. But over time they clash less and start to understand one another, eventually forming a close bond. The film was released on November 29, 2007, and runs 106 minutes. It had a budget of 1.8 billion won and grossed about 1.9 million US dollars. Produced by Sea Star Pictures and distributed by Showbox/Mediaplex. Cinematography by Jeon Dae-seong; music by Nouvelle Vague; editing by DigiCut.
