The Apex Herald was a weekly newspaper based in Apex, North Carolina, that covered the town and surrounding area. It was owned by Heartland Publications, which was merged into Civitas Media in 2012. Earlier, it belonged to Ottaway Newspapers (a Dow Jones division) until 1994, when it was sold to the KNI Newspaper Network.

The final edition was published on August 8, 2013 (Vol. 55, No. 32). Front-page stories included:
- Apex dentist Dr. Kenneth Leahy saving two drowning swimmers
- Apex Middle School teacher Patricia Franklin traveling to Mumbai, India for cultural exchange training
- The appointment of former Apex Mayor pro tem Bryan Gossage as Deputy Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Commerce
- A farewell message from the newspaper
