6th Asia Pacific Screen Awards
The 6th Asia Pacific Screen Awards were held in late 2012 in Queensland, Australia. The big winners were Best Film for Beyond the Hill; Best Director for Thy Womb went to Brillante Mendoza; Best Actor was Choi Min-sik for Nameless Gangster: Rules of the Time; and Best Actress went to Nora Aunor for Thy Womb. Other notable recognitions included Reis Çelik for Night of Silence and Touraj Aslani for Rhino Season, with selections that also featured A Letter to Momo, In My Mother's Arms, The Mirror Never Lies, Seediq Bale, and contributions from Ryuichi Sakamoto and Anurag Kashyap (for Gangs of Wasseypur) and Jo Min-su (for Pietà).
