The 2024–25 California Golden Bears men's basketball team represented the University of California, Berkeley in the NCAA Division I season. Led by head coach Mark Madsen in his second season, the Bears played their home games at Haas Pavilion (capacity 11,858) as first-year members of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).

Season summary
- Overall record: 14–19
- ACC record: 6–14, finished 15th
- The Bears opened with wins over Cal State Bakersfield and Cal Poly, then lost at Vanderbilt (85–69). They beat USC at home (71–66) and hosted the Cal Classic, winning all three games.
- They then lost 98–93 to Missouri in the ACC–SEC Challenge and dropped their ACC opener to Stanford (89–81), starting a 1–6 stretch (the lone win in that span was Northwestern State).
- Other losses came at San Diego State, Pittsburgh, and Clemson.
- In a later 4–2 run over six games, they fell to Virginia Tech and North Carolina but defeated Miami (in OT), Virginia, NC State, and Florida State.
- The season ended with a 2–9 stretch, with wins over NC State and Boston College. They lost to ranked Duke and Louisville, to Stanford, to Georgia Tech in OT, and suffered a four-overtime loss to Notre Dame on the final day of the regular season.
- ACC tournament: As the 15th seed, they defeated Virginia Tech in double overtime in the First Round, then lost to rival Stanford 78–73 in the Second Round. They did not receive an NCAA Tournament or NIT invitation.
