The 2021 Campeonato Tocantinense was the 29th edition of Tocantins’ top football league. The season ran from 20 February to 30 December, but started with a suspension in April due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Federation Tocantinense de Futebol announced the competition would resume on 12 December. Palmas were the defending champions but were eliminated in the semi-finals. Relegation to the Segunda Divisão was initially planned for the bottom teams after the first stage, but it was cancelled because of the pandemic. In the final, Tocantinópolis defeated Araguacema 2–0 on aggregate to win their fourth title. The match Tocantins v Gurupi was cancelled. A total of 33 matches were played with 99 goals scored (about 3 per match).
