2018 Sioux Falls mayoral election

The 2018 Sioux Falls mayoral election took place on May 1, after a primary on April 10. Incumbent Mayor Mike Huether was term-limited and could not run again. In the primary, Paul TenHaken, a businessman and founder of a local digital marketing firm, led with about 34% of the vote. Jolene Loetscher, a former television reporter, had about 25%, and Jim Entenman and Greg Jamison also ran. TenHaken and Loetscher advanced to the runoff. In the runoff, TenHaken defeated Loetscher by a wide margin, winning about 62.7% of the vote to Loetscher's 37.3%, becoming Sioux Falls’ new mayor.
