Stakelbeck grew up in Philadelphia, where his father was a factory electrician who loved biblical history. He studied at Holy Family University. He began his career as a senior writer and analyst at the Investigative Project on Terrorism (2003–2005), then joined CBN News in 2005 as a TV correspondent and host covering U.S. national security, the Middle East, Israel-related issues and radical Islam. In 2016 he began hosting The Watchman on TBN, traveling across Israel and interviewing senior Israeli leaders. In 2022 he became a correspondent for TBN’s Centerpoint, and in 2024 launched Stakelbeck Tonight, which replaced The Watchman. He has interviewed leaders such as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (2022) and former U.S. President Donald Trump (2024).
Stakelbeck has spoken at conservative events and conferences and has relationships with groups like ACT for America, the David Horowitz Freedom Center and the Family Research Council, including appearances at the Values Voter Summit. He has also addressed the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, AIPAC, the Israel Allies Foundation and JINSA. He has expressed strong views about Islam and its role in society and has aligned with counter-jihad activists. He is married with two daughters and has lived in the Dallas–Fort Worth area as of 2024, after previously living near Washington, D.C. He is the author of several books.
