2017–18 Pro B season was the 31st season of France’s second‑tier basketball league, organized by the LNB. It featured 18 teams. In the regular season, teams played each other home and away. The league champion (the regular‑season leader) earned promotion to Pro A, while the teams finishing 2–9 went to the promotion playoffs. The bottom two were relegated to NM1.

The seven highest seeds (excluding the champion) qualified for the promotion playoffs, joined by the winner of the LNB Pro B Leaders Cup, which also gave automatic top seeding. All playoff rounds were best of three. The Leaders Cup final was held on February 18 at Disneyland Paris after a group stage to determine the quarterfinalists.

Promotions and relegations: Blois won its first Pro B title and, along with Fos Provence, earned promotion to Pro A. Le Havre and Étoile Charleville-Mézières were relegated to NM1. Orléans Loiret and SLUC Nancy joined the league after relegation from Pro A; UJAP Quimper 29 and Caen Basket Calvados were promoted from NM1.

Season details: Tyren Johnson was the MVP. Amin Stevens led in points (17.9 ppg) and rebounds (8.9 rpg), while Alex Abreu led in assists (6.5 apg).
