2011–12 Houston Cougars men's basketball team
The 2011–12 Houston Cougars men's basketball team represented the University of Houston in the 2011–12 season. It was their 67th season of play. Head coach James Dickey was in his second year. The Cougars played home games at Hofheinz Pavilion in Houston and were members of Conference USA. They finished 15–15 overall, 7–9 in conference play, with inconsistent results throughout the year. The season ended with an overtime loss to UTEP in the Conference USA tournament. The coaching staff included associate head coach Alvin Brooks and assistant coaches Daniyal Robinson and Ulric Maligi (in his second season).
