2011–12 Alloa Athletic F.C. season
Alloa Athletic’s 2011–12 season was their first back in the Scottish Third Division after dropping from the Second Division in 2010–11. They played at Recreation Park, were chaired by Mike Mulraney, and were managed by Paul Hartley, who had taken over after Allan Maitland was sacked late in the previous season.
Highlights:
- Finished 1st in the Scottish Third Division, becoming champions and earning promotion to the Second Division.
- Cup performances: Challenge Cup first round exit, League Cup first round exit, Scottish Cup reached the second round.
- Top scorer: Stevie May with 19 goals in all competitions (19 in the league).
- Attendances: highest home crowd was 2,551 versus Annan Athletic on 5 May 2012; lowest was 419 against Queen’s Park on 10 December 2011.
