Albert Edwin Avey (May 29, 1886 – September 25, 1963) was an American philosopher and a professor of philosophy at Ohio State University. He was born in Hannibal, Missouri, and died in Denison, Ohio at the age of 77. Avey studied at Yale University, earning a PhD in 1915 with the thesis "An Analysis of the Process of Conceptual Cognition." His work focused on conceptual cognition and the philosophy of religion.
