Arabesque Records is an American record label based in New York City that focuses on jazz and classical music. It was founded in 1987 by Ward Botsford and Marvin Reiss, with Caedmon Audio handling the classical side. In 1988 Botsford and Reiss acquired the label and made it independent. In 1992 the company began releasing jazz as well, with early jazz releases from Craig Handy and Carmen Lundy. The catalog grew to include artists such as Jane Ira Bloom, Thomas Chapin, Dave Douglas, Art Farmer, Billy Hart, Myra Melford, Charles McPherson, and Horace Tapscott.
