2006–07 Airdrie United F.C. season

2006–07 was Airdrie United's fifth season. They competed in the Scottish First Division, the Challenge Cup, the League Cup and the Scottish Cup. The club finished 9th in the First Division and entered the relegation play-offs, losing 5–4 on aggregate to Stirling Albion, which saw them relegated to the Second Division. In cup competitions, they reached the Scottish Cup third round, the League Cup second round, and were eliminated in the first round of the Challenge Cup. The season started with manager Sandy Stewart, who was sacked on 13 November 2006 and replaced by Kenny Black on 17 November. Chairman was Jim Ballantyne, and home games were at the Excelsior Stadium. The top scorer was Gary Twigg, with 10 league goals and 12 in all competitions.
