Rimbick
Rimbick is a village in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal, India, near the Nepal border. It is about 56 kilometers from Darjeeling town and sits at an elevation of about 2,286 meters. The area is known for its beautiful scenery.
Rimbick is a common starting point for trekkers, with jeeps readily available to take you to Darjeeling town. Nearby attractions include Guffa, Jarayo Pokhari, Namla Falls, and Hospital Dara View Point. The Tuesday bazaar is a local highlight.
According to the 2011 census, Rimbick had about 6,980 residents: 3,544 males and 3,436 females, with 659 children aged 0–6. There were 5,137 literate people, about 75.6% of the population over age 6.
Rimbik Higher Secondary School is an English-medium coeducational school established in 1948. It offers classes from V to XII and has a small computer lab and a playground.
