The 2001 Giro di Lombardia was the 95th edition of the race, held on 20 October 2001. It was a single-day event covering 256 km, starting in Varese and finishing in Bergamo. Italian rider Danilo Di Luca won the race for Cantina Tollo–Acqua & Sapone, with a time of 6 hours, 38 minutes, and 29 seconds. Giuliano Figueras (Italy) finished second for Ceramiche Panaria–Fiordo, and Michael Boogerd (Netherlands) was third for Rabobank.
